Launched in May 2023, One World Togeth­er puts com­mu­ni­ties them­selves at the heart of devel­op­ment. This inno­v­a­tive sys­tem turns exist­ing char­i­ta­ble giv­ing on its head by pro­vid­ing long-term, pre­dictable and unre­strict­ed fund­ing to com­mu­ni­ties around the world, sup­port­ing them to think and invest strate­gi­cal­ly for the future. This approach is built on trust that their part­ners are best-placed to respond to chal­lenges in their areas.

This ini­tia­tive was devel­oped by RINGO Social Lab Mem­bers Nik­ki Banks and Chib­we Hen­ry out­side of the pro­to­typ­ing process. Nik­ki and Chib­we quick­ly bond­ed over the need to move beyond tweak­ing exist­ing sys­tems and build an entire­ly new one based on prin­ci­ples of trust, sol­i­dar­i­ty and equi­ty. In 2023 they found­ed One World Togeth­er with the goal of putting a new gen­er­a­tion of com­mit­ted sup­port­ers of glob­al devel­op­ment at the heart of rad­i­cal change.
